GROUP ACCOUNT DIRECTOR - DIRECT MARKETING / CRM

You have :

At least 8-10 years agency account management practice with global brands
Mature exposure to 1-to-1 Marketing, multi-channel programs & CRM (database management, process definition, loyalty marketing, online marketing, analytics, creative integration)
BA/BS Marketing / Communication / MIS; MBA/MSc an added advantage.
Consider living in Dubai, with moderate travel within region & West.

Duties & Abilities

Responsible for driving the existing DM & CRM programs for a group of
multinational brands, including:
Business Development Acumen
Lead marketing engagements on the behalf of clients
Developing and growing existing client business.
Knowledge/Experience/Ability
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Strategic marketing thinking / writing recommendations
Relationship building
Operational expertise
Financial accountability on all campaigns

Candidate Responsibilities

Excellent verbal and written communication skills; should be a strong marketing strategist who can orchestrate a team to deliver significant results for clients, possess strong analytical and interpretation skills.
Self-motivated, highly organized, extremely detail-oriented, and able to multi-task in a fast paced, high energy environment;
Innovative thinker with ability to identify business opportunities and proactively engage with clients with a focus on growth;
Engage internal and external teams (creative, technical, strategy, media & production) on the development of programs and tactics.
Develop presentations and key strategic documents to provide thought leadership and drive innovation.
Creative and nurture new business opportunities.
Identify clients requirements and develop accountable marketing programs to deliver business results
Guide creative development from brainstorming and briefing through final rollout of the campaigns
Ensure accountability on all programs.
Participate in multi-agency briefs, pitch and work sessions.
Be aware of account financial management (including signed estimates, invoice tracking, time-sheet tracking)
IT smart – excellent in MS Office, (exposure to SQL, DB, SPSS, BO, etc is a strong advantage)
Have no restrictions on travel.

ACCOUNT DIRECTOR

Academic Profile

BA/BS in Business Administration - Marketing Major, or
BA/BS in Management Information Systems (MIS) with a comprehensive understanding of enterprise management and loyalty marketing, or
MBA in MIS - with a comprehensive understanding of enterprise management and marketing

Experience
In priority order, 4-6 years experience in the following:

Direct marketing account management at a leading DM agency
Planning, development and management of RM, Customer Loyalty or CRM projects
MIS applied to marketing management and/or marketing processes
Market Research project management
Above or Below the Line account management
Marketing analysis and data mining
Public Relations account management
Media sales (television, press, directories) and/or list sales

Required Business Skills and Aptitudes

Strong strategic planning skills with commitment to results
Ability to maintain structured management of budgets and P&L
Proactive and innovative. Excites clients with business acumen that develops both client and agency business
Focused on growth. Identifies short and long term opportunities to foster business expansion
Inquisitive. Explores business opportunities and brings them to fruition
Service oriented. Exceeds clients' expectations on every level
Ability to handle a large portfolio of clients with on-going requirements in Direct Marketing including direct mail, relationship marketing programmes, database marketing, loyalty programmes and CRM initiatives

Very good command of English, spoken and written, with Arabic knowledge an added asset
Impressive presentation skills, spoken and written
Well versed in MS Office
Sound understanding/previous exposure to database IT platforms - SQL, DB, SPSS, Business Objects, etc
